MARGOT LINDSAY

Margot Lindsay has been working in textiles for over 30 years. Margot learned the basics of Embroidery in school in Germany as part of the compulsory curriculum. Between 1970 - 1995, she attended several workshops and courses in various modern Embroidery techniques and related design. She has exhibited in solo shows and participated in several jurried Fibre Art group shows in Canada, France and Germany. Recently two of her works are touring in a juried group show in Saskatchewan - '100 years of Common Thread' - organized by the Saskatchewan Craft Council and the Saskatchewan Weavers Guild. In 2006, Margot Lindsay represented the City of Sasktoon as one of three artists working with needle and thread at the Canada Day celebrations in Ottawa.
